Elevene som jobber hos Generoc under skolens arbeidsuke, har fått i oppgave å lære mer om Biogass, fordeler og eventuelle ulemper. Biogassanlegget er ett «Greenfarm» anlegg levert av Nordisk Biogass, Greenfarm og Generoc og elevene har fått mulighet til å besøke gården på Rovden i Vanylven for å få flere svar.

I 2021 bestemte bonden Pål Kristian Vedeld seg for å bidra til Norges klimamål om å kutte utslippene med 55 % innen 2030. Pål, som driver gården på Rovde i Vanylven sammen med sin kone, ønsket at gården, som har vært i drift i omtrent 100 år, skulle være en av flere gårder som velger grønn energi.

I 2019 overtok Pål gårdsdriften med melk- og eggproduksjon. Han har alltid bodd på denne gården, som har gått i flere generasjoner i familien hans. På gården er målet å ha en bærekraftig drift med god dyrevelferd. Pål har 7500 høns og 120 kuer. I 2021 bestemte han seg for å investere i et biogassanlegg. Selv om det tok litt tid å få det i gang, er prosessen nå i full sving. Han er foreløpig den eneste gården i området med et biogassanlegg, men flere naboer vurderer lignende tiltak.

Hva er vel bedre enn å spare kostnader, tjene penger og redde miljøet samtidig? Sier Pål Kristian Vedeld.

Vi snakket med Pål, som er klar i sin mening om at biogassanlegg er løsningen. På gården produseres det egen strøm, gjødselkvaliteten blir bedre, slik at man slipper kunstgjødsel, og utslippet av metangass reduseres. Til referanse er metangass 100 ganger verre enn karbondioksid. Ved bruk av biogassanlegg spares det 500 000 tonn CO2-ekvivalenter når alt er i drift. «Du får også støtte av staten i tillegg,» forteller Pål. Den eneste utfordringen han har støtt på, var å få i gang byggeprosessen.

Hvordan ser Pål Kristian Vedeld på fremtiden for biogass i landbruket?

- Jeg ser på det som fremtiden, og jeg tror at de fleste gårder vil kjøre gjennom et biogassanlegg. 

Hans tips til andre bønder som vurderer samme løsning er: 

Kjør på, men bruk god tid på forarbeid og planlegg godt. Jeg anbefaler det til alle bønder her i Norge. Hvis jeg kan gjøre det, kan du også!

Hva mener Bjørn Kristian Neumann, sjefen i Generoc, om nytteverdien av samarbeidet med bonden? 

- Samarbeidet gjør at vi får produsert biogass som Generoc bruker til å produsere biodrivstoff. Biodrivstoff kan være en stor del av løsningen på klimautfordringene.

This precise mapping was essential for our comprehensive assessment. Additionally, we integrated 3D scanning into our process to aid in planning potential future modifications, producing both basic design and detailed design reports.

Utilizing advanced technology for precision in engineering and design, we meticulously crafted a 3D scan that included the design of valves, flanges, bolting, and support. This seamless integration demonstrates our holistic approach, ensuring optimal functionality and smooth integration. Our unwavering commitment to innovation and excellence is evident in every aspect of our work.

Seamlessly integrating a BOG compressor, we introduced new and upgraded piping to optimize efficiency. This comprehensive project included a study covering basic engineering, detailed engineering with ISOs, stress calculations, and support design.

Generoc leads the way in engineering and designing solutions for various Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) clients and projects. Our approach covers CCS plant designs for both 10K and 100K capacities, including technical studies for steam reforming technology with CCS applications.

As the Lead Process Engineer in a major offshore Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) project, I played a key role in achieving a significant milestone through our cutting-edge competences.

In cooperation with Optime Subsea we have design and development of a groundbreaking Subsea Safety mSHPU (Micro Subsea Hydraulic Power Unit). This innovative technology is set to revolutionize subsea operations, with the SHPU becoming a standard feature on Equinor and Chevron Xmas trees. Notably, the micro version, mSHPU, is tailored for seamless integration into the advanced "All Electric XT" system, marking a significant milestone in subsea engineering.

We performed precise engineering, piping, and a detailed 3D scan to install the Optimarin AS Ballast Water Treatment System (#BWTS) on the RAMFORM EXPLORER PGS vessel. Employing a strategic approach, our team meticulously designed and planned a comprehensive installation, ensuring a smooth re-classing process for the Ramform Explorer.

Generoc, in partnership with Golar LNG, implemented an upgrade for the Amine loop on the Golar Hilli LNG vessel. The extensive project encompassed a study incorporating basic engineering, detailed engineering with ISOs, stress calculations, and support design. Furthermore, Generoc oversaw the procurement of new PSVs, rupture disks, and pipe spools for non-hot work replacement at the Kribi port in Cameroon.
